We have an opportunity for a Purchasing Agent to join our team to support our business operations in Kalispell, MT.
In this position, you will support all of our departments by assisting in sourcing the necessary products and components they need to complete their task.
Effective communication will be essential to ensure accurate and timely procurement, while also optimizing the cost-effectiveness of these acquisitions.
This is primarily an office position, but does require shop bay visits for problem solving situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive requisitions by phone or in writing and complete them timely
Check information on the requisitions to ensure they are the correct products for the intended repair- it is importatn to understand what they're ordering and for the repair
Evaluate cost/quality of products and look for ways to save on purchases
Support the Shop and Construction crews
Properly complete and submit purchase orders and track receivables
Stay very organized
Manage vendor relationships
Quickly be able to learn our current purchasing procedures and vendors
Work with Shop Personnel on accurately identifying parts for repairs
Core Return Tracking
Inventory Management
Work closely with other warehouse team members
Knowledge and Qualifications:
Must have extensive knowledge of Kenworth, Peterbilt, CAT, Komatsu, engine components, hydraulic systems, electrical and sensors, undercarriage and suspension systems
Familiarity with Crushing Equipment is a plus
Ability to navigate CAT SIS 2.

Must be able to read wiring and hydraulic diagrams
Be resourceful and be able to research used parts to identify part numbers
Must have strong communication and organizational skills
Have the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced work environment
Compensation:
Hourly rate of pay $24 to $26 an hour based on experience

Year 1 – Employer covers 80% of total (family) premiums
Years 2 & 3 – Employer covers 90% of total (family) premiums
Years 4 or more - Employer covers 100% of total (family) premiums
