TRIO, Student Support Center, Learning Resource Center 129, FVCC Kalispell Campus
ELIGIBILITY:

PAY RANGE:
$12.
00 to $12.
50 per hour depending on experience STATUS AND SCHEDULE: Temporary, to work flexible schedule between Monday and Saturday, not to exceed 19 hours per week; non-benefit eligible.
FLSA: Non-Exempt SUMMARY: Under minimum supervision, provides academic tutoring to support student success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Provides individual and group academic tutoring to students; Assists students with study skills; Responsible for completing and maintaining accurate documentation relating to tutoring; documentation must be completed within required time period; and May perform other like duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a B grade or higher in the course offering tutor support or related course from another college; Must have content competency (as determined by instructor); Must possess academic integrity; and Good interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate professionalism and strong customer service skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous tutoring experience; Availability to tutor for the academic year; Former TRIO participant; and Group leadership experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to be flexible and adaptable to different environments Ability and willingness to serve as a representative for the College by interacting appropriately with the community Ability and willingness to provide quality customer service Skill and ability to operate a variety of computer applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and information systems Skill and ability with general office practices and procedures Ability to work within policies and procedures of FVCC Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work non-traditional schedules including evenings, weekends, etc.
Ability to maintain effective and positive professional relationships Ability to follow and issue directions Ability to work effectively with people from a variety of culturally diverse, traditional and non-traditional backgrounds Ability to maintain regular and acceptable attendance levels Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality This is a Medium Duty job, according to the Selected Characteristics of Occupations Defined in the Revised Dictionary of Occupational Titles, U.

Medium Duty involves exertion of 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds continuously to move objects.
