Summary:
Responsible for setting up Cashier /Barista area upon arriving each morning and handling monetary transactions in the form of cash, check, credit or debit cards in exchange for food and beverage items.
Must be able to provide change for cash transactions, balance cash drawer at closing and process card transactions.
Primary responsibilities:
General cleaning of tables, counters in cafeteria area.
Greets customers in a professional manner.
Deliver hot or cold food to customers.
Take money in form of cash, credit/debit card or check, dispenses correct change, issue receipts, refunds and credits.
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct.
Resolve amount discrepancies.
Weigh items.
Clean up checkout area with damp cloth and disinfectant.
Establish or identify prices of goods and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers or optical price scanner.
Answer customers’ questions, but always refer to the manager if answer does not bring resolution to issue.
Restock inventory as needed and time permits.
Barista Job Duties:
Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparations techniques for coffee drinks such as espresso, café latte and cappuccino.
Generates revenues by attracting new customers defining new expanded services and products.
Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries and cookies for coffee bar.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF AIDE include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Understands and uses the communication system in the department.
Reads production orders and therapeutic menus for patients, residents and cafeteria
Prepares trays for meal service.
Places servings in blender to make foods for soft or liquid or pureed diets.
Uses portion control to comply with therapeutic needs.
Examines filled tray for completeness and places on cart.
Pushes carts to halls or ward kitchen.
Serves trays to patients.
Washes dishes and cleans work area, tables, cabinets, and ovens.
Charting temps and all dish room logs
Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers.
Will prepare by washing and/or peeling vegetables as menu demands.
Responsible for all stocking and cleaning in the department.
Barista Skills and Qualifications:
