1988 GMC K1500
$13,500 or best reasonable offer.
5.
7 TBI and SM465 4 speed (granny low first gear)
AC, Cruise, tilt, PS, PB, intermittent wipers.
Selling because I just don’t need it and I hate to see it sit.
I purchased it because it was rust free and the odometer showed only 60K miles.
Turns out the odometer did not work, which I have learned since is a malady for these dashes (the ugliest GM ever made).
I do love the looks of it however so I went through it front to back.
Way too much to list, receipts for all.
Ask if questions but here is a summary.
New crate motor from Jegs, stock, roller cam.
Removed the tank (30gallon), flushed it, and replace sender and fuel pump because it’s much easier with the tank out.
Rebuilt fuel injectors.
New flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, slave/master cylinder for clutch, radiator, AC condenser (AC needs to be charged), newer wheels and tires (brand new take offs, taller than stock so the speedo registers 6% different, ball joints, steering components, exhaust from Y to the back, belts and hoses, battery, etc, etc.
Interior has a newer seat which I had reupholstered, lumbar for both sides and heated on the driver’s side.
New carpet with lots of insulation.
Doors disassembled, cleaned, lubed, and undercoated on the inside.
New side glass seals.
New windshield.
All fluids changed.
Body has some of the infamous clear flaking off on the passenger box side.
Paint is thin in spots.
Previous owner hit a deer and replaced passenger fender and grille with the newer style (the best looking GMC grille).
Starts, runs, stops, and drives excellent, 4WD works as it should .
All work done has approx 2000 miles (I use a GPS for mileage )
Can test drive with proof of insurance and driver’s license.
$9500 cash
